I liked it! I liked the suspense (the Who did it?) with lots a mystery and fun along the way. Saw myself kinda knowing what would happen next but still enjoying it and laughing my butt off.

I went with my 17 year old daughter and she like I really enjoyed the movie although it got off to a bit of a slow start. Ranger character could have been filled out more like in the book although the actor was a good pick. I look forward to seeing more but with a bit better writing like in the book. It definitely surpases a lot I have seen. Debbie Reynolds was excellent as would Betty White in the role of grandma.

Thankfully I had a free ticket to this movie, because if I had actually paid to see it I would have been angry. The plot was almost nonexistent & the acting was bad. I went with a friend & we did laugh a few times, but not because it was funny, because it was so ridiculous!

Fan of the books [are] incredibly dissatisfied by this movie. Casting could have been so much better. But the main problem was there were gaps in logic and continuity that you could have driven a truck through. Anybody else notice how it kept switching from day to night in the blink of an eye?

An alright movie. I've read the whole series and thought it could have been alot better, but it wasn't bad. I've seen alot worse.

I liked this movie but it didn't blow me away. It seemed more like a movie made for tv than a cinema. I thought the actors all did the best they could with the material but it wasn't fleshed out all that well. A better director and maybe 20 more minutes may have made this a better movie. I haven't read a book in the series in years, so I wasn't jaded by the comparison. The biggest problem was that the characters never did get fully developed. It felt like there were huge gaps in the storyline which would have served the storyline better if the characters were developed a bit more. Maybe they assumed that everyone had read the book and didn't need to do the background. I think this is a good first try as the series and I see a lot of potential in the characters. Hopefully the next try will get better direction.

Whoever rated this movie a thriller did not see this movie. This movie is a light hearted movie with some action. If you like a little laughter with some action you will enjoy this movie.

It was kinda boringish during the middle and beginning it also had a bad plot, but it was still worth the money.

If you've read any of the books I think you'll like the movie. Laughed at various points throughout, although it did move slow sometimes.

Boring movie, did not keep my attention or the audiences for that matter. The only good thing about it was Daniel Sunjata. Was a sleeper. Not recommended.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was funnier than I expected and I look forward to the next Stephanie Plum movie.

While not as funny as the series of books by Janet Evanovich, I was pleasantly surprised. The script writers should have done a better job. Betty White would have been a much better choice as Grandma Mazur. That character needed to be more way over the top. Sandra Bullock as Stephanie also would have been a better choice. The Ranger character should have been more enigmatic and rough and tough like in the books. The books usually have me laughing out loud, the movie while funny was not as much rollicking fun as the series. Still a good escape movie and definitely a chick flick worthy of a Girls Night Out. Kudos to Katherine Heigl and the cast they did the best with the script they were given.

Movie was alright, I love Catherine Heigl and she was great, as usually. It reminded me Bounty movie with J Aniston, a little. However, this movie was also little boring and slow at some points, specially beginning.

This movie was lacking the humour found in the books by Janet Evanovich. Casting was poor. Stephanie was too meek, timid, and serious. Grandma was too sophisticated. Ranger was not big and scary enough and the role would have been better suited to someone like Steven Seagal. Morrelli was just a wimp. It was a cute fluffy little flick, but a disappoint if you are a Stephanie Plum fan.

Quite the disappointment... This movie lacked originality and chemistry between the leading actors. Had a few chuckles, but mostly at Heigl's terrible Jersey accent that kept filtering in and out!

Read all the books. Movies are never the same as the books, no surprise there, but still the movie was entertaining and enjoyed seeing the characters up on the big screen. If you like to read you need to understand that the movie will never be the same as the book - just go and enjoy the movie! And read the books! Both are great! But different.

Adored the books, but they did NOT translate well to film. Terrible casting. Heigl kept forgetting her accent, timing was off and Debbie Reynolds completely missed the mark on Grandma Mazur. Don't waste your time - read the books instead.

It's a great movie with lots of action. I was pleased to see again Hollywood legend Debbie Reynolds in this movie, in which she appears from time to time, as Grandma Mazur. I presume some of you remember her in her first leading role in "Singin' in the Rain" (1952) when she was only 20, beside Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connor; The Singing Nun in 1966, and other great movies... What a great actress, singer and dancer she was... ! Don't miss to see "One for the Money".

I've read all of the Stephanie Plum books and this was a great disappointment! It would have been better suited for TV. Most of the characters were poorly cast, except for Ranger. I agree that Sandra Bullock would have been better as Stephanie. Would definitely wait for it to come out on video. :(

This was a fun movie when you'er not in the mood for anything heavy. Don't expect too much and you'll enjoy it as there are quite few funny parts. Heigl is cute as always, actually maybe even cuter now with the brown hair.

I've been a fan of the Stephanie Plum books for a while. I've read them all and have enjoyed everyone of them. I went to see One for the money today, without reading any reviews or watching any spoilers. Just basing it off of the book. I was not very disappointed. The characters were mostly spot on (either than Grandma Mazur) and they stuck to the story line very well. It was a great movie, and if you've read the books or not, I recommend you go see it ^^

I didn't read the book and not going to. I don't know what people were laughing at because I found it boring and very much like a TV sitcom. Avoid it and save your money, please.

Based on the Janet Evanovitch books. I think they did a terrific job of keeping with the characters, the terrific humour and raunchiness of the books. Katherine Heigel did a super job. All the weird characters were well cast. Debbie Reynolds was a scream. Go see it!

Same old, same old... cheezy. If you liked "Knocked Up", then you're probably going to like this one. If not, then you know what the movie is going to be like. Like Jennifer Aniston, Katherine Heigl plays the same roles. Save your money.

Well, where to start. It was a good movie, stayed close to the story in the book. To my surprise Katherine Heigl did well as Stephanie Plum, but the casting of this movie could have been much better. Overall, this movie was a good movie but for those that have read the books, it might be a little bit of a let down. I still enjoyed the movie even though it wasn't what I expected considering how good the book was. Still worth watching, good movie.

I am a huge Stephanie Plum fan, so was very disappointed in the movie. I was okay with the fact that they changed a lot of the details to make it more current, brought forth details from other books, and changed it to make the plot make sense as a movie, however they did not stay true to the overall flavour of the books. Stephanie was far too competent and did not have enough "Jersey". Katherine Heigl was too "pretty" in the role. Sandra Bullock would have been a MUCH better fit. Especially since she can do slapstick comedy, which was definitely lacking in this movie. Lula was perfectly cast, but Grandma Mazur was a definite disappointment. Betty White would have done the loveable cuckoo role far better. My friend who had never read the books enjoyed the movie, but she wasn't rolling in her seat laughing and it's not one she would have to see again. If you're just looking for an entertaining action movie, this might fit the bill, but if you're looking to capture the essence of the Plum books, don't bother!
